Meet John and Kristina. I had the pleasure of photographing Kristina when she was a bridesmaid in a wedding I did recently. I don't remember how far along she was at that point, but I had heard she wasn't going to do maternity photos which left my heart in a tizzy (I didn't even know her but I knew I wanted to get her and her beautiful bump in front of my camera). I reached out and to my pleasant surprise, she was up for it. We weren't out for very long (let's be real, when you get to a certain point in your pregnancy, walking a lot can be a real pain in the backside), but I was able to get some of the cutest photos! It was such a relaxed, easy session.

Then I waited.

I forget how many weeks passed, but it felt like a small eternity for this impatient photographer. I finally got to meet miss Claire - what a sweet little girl. I even got a minute of snuggle time in, but she was hungry, so that ended right then and there! She was also easy quite photogenic just like her parents. She reminded me so much of Penelope, and it was quite a shock (in a good way) to see a tiny baby again and hear the newborn cries. They tug at your heartstrings in the best way.

I decided to combine their maternity session and the photos of Claire into one post so you could scroll up and see how much she looks like momma and compare to daddy... kidding, kind of.
