An Enchanted Moment

There's a calm surrender to the rush of day
When the heat of a rolling wind can be turned away
An enchanted moment, and it sees me through
It's enough for this restless warrior just to be with you

And can you feel the love tonight?
It is where we are
It's enough for this wide-eyed wanderer
That we got this far

And can you feel the love tonight?
How it's laid to rest
It's enough to make kings and vagabonds
Believe the very best

Can You Feel The Love Tonight - Elton John

You guys… my cousin got MARRIED! Where are the tissues?

I had photographed their engagement shoot a few months back (you may have spotted them in one of my galleries). I had never met Destiny until then. We had ventured out around the gorge, looking for the perfect spots to shoot. We spent the entire day together and there wasn’t a dull moment to be had! Tons of laughs and silliness… I remember asking them how they met and comparing and contrasting each version of events… I was making little mental notes to myself. When the day wrapped up I had concluded that these two were obviously meant to be together, and live happily ever after.

The big day came and went, and I feel privileged to have been able to capture it! It was perfect. Even my husband commented on how he had never seen a bride and groom be better entertainers.

In short, I love my job. And I love seeing people I love, be IN love! It’s a win-win all around.

The best part of the day, though, was after the event. We (me, husband, daughter) were going to Colorado early the next morning (like 1 AM early). I knew that these two were leaving to their honeymoon in DisneyWorld the next day, also in the morning. I joked “hey maybe we will see each other at the airport!” Doubtful. But you know what… I was RIGHT! Our flight was delayed. At 4AM I was sleepily looking down the gate watching people walk to their designated areas… and sure enough I saw these two love birds decked out in their Disney gear heading towards where we were seated. It definitely made the last bit of waiting for our plane a bit easier. You could call it fate.

These are just some of the bridal portraits from the end of the day. I couldn’t wait to share these! Enjoy. <3
